Something Inexplicably Tempting (2018 – 2019)

The project results from the artist’s attempt to understand the reason for a favourite cartoon of his early childhood being so mysteriously tempting. It was a fairy-tale about the kidnapping of a boy to make him marry the daughter of the main antagonist. To his own surprise, the author realized that when a child he felt unconscious emotional experiences of an erotic nature towards the bride of the boy from the cartoon. Later, the artist asked a group of diverse people to recall similar infant experiences. The key requirement for participants of the project was to describe those dreams, the erotic basis of which became clear to them only in adulthood.
